Jay Peak/ Bring your warm clothes!!!
A 3 day ski trip to Jay Peak, I'm in!!! The average temperate for this trip was 2 degrees with the windchill! This place has the reputation the be the coldest resort on the east coast. It sure was! We had to take a break every 3 runs because our feet, toes, hands, and face would go numb after 30 minutes of skiing. But the amazing terrain made up for the crazy cold temperatures. After Mondays insane powder day Tuesday's forecast called for a clear blue day with -20 degrees without the windchill!!! With a preplanned late start we arrive at the hill to learn 8 of 9 lifts are on wind hold because of 50 MPH winds at the summit! Skiing the bunny hill at Jay Peak wasn't out interest when it was that cold out. Tuesday looked like a day to tour around the town of North Troy in which we did. We got the best out of Wednesday were we skied the glades all day and got to take in the amazing scenery. All I have to say is the 8 hour drive to Jay Peak is so worth it!
